Mongo's Review of Superbowl 5....thousand

Maybe it's because the Steelers won the game, but I'm surprised I'm not hearing more about that holding call that allowed Arizona to get back into the game. The one that was ruled a safet against Pittsburgh and gave Arizona great position to get the lead.

If this were basketball I wouldn't hear anything other than the officials need to get out of the way of the game and let the players decide. Even though this practically leads to the last minute of the game becoming a WWE TLC match.

I think it was a good call. You break the rules of the game it should be called. No matter what the time is. Or how many times it's been called before. The rules are there to keep things fair and consistant.

I think the reason we hear so much shit about a foul deciding a game in the NBA is because it's become an unwritten rule that fouls shouldn't be called. Unless they're intentional in the closing minutes of the game. That's a bunch of crap. It shouldn't be that way. If you're going to do it this way you should just have the officals leave 5 minutes before the game is over.

Let the game become NBA Street a few times, and we'll see what the players and fans prefer. Something tells me it's going to be put the rules back in and make the players follow them.

I'm not a big fan of football, but last night was an entertaining game. And I think part of it was all the penalties. And the fact that the Cardinals looked like a pee wee football team until the 4th quarter. But that's just my opinion I could be wrong. Of course you could also be an idiot. So believe what you will.
