Prototype

So I bought Prototype yesterday. It's really a pretty good game.

You play as Alex Mercer. Who appears to be a test subject for a government organization called blackwatch. He was infected with some sort of virus that mutates and allows him to heal, mutate into weapons and other people. The problem is he has amnesia(doh!) so he was to find people who have information about what happened and absorb them. Gaining their knowledge and the ability to tranform into that person.

Oddly enough you can only turn into the last person you've absorbed (or consumed as the game calls it). You want to learn how to drive a tank. Find a tank driver and absorb him.(Can't miss it part of the story missions. Same with the helicopters.) You can play the game in a number of ways it seems. You can sneak into military bases and absorb the people in there to gain better weapon skills and the like.

As you travel around the game ala spider man. You'll notice on your mini map that there are people that you can absorb to gain more knowledge about what's going on. This is called the Web of Intrigue. This is what unravels the back story and your characters past.

You gain experience points called EP or Evolution Points that you spend on your abilities. Much like the spider man game as well. I think a better comparson might be Incredible Hulk: Total Destruction(I think that's what it's called), but I never played it so I don't know.

There are side missions that vary in style from kill as many as possible to help this side win, to movement type missions (collect the orbs or land as close to this spot as possible while gliding).

Story is pretty good so far. Voice acting could use some help, but there aren't many games that couldn't use better voice acting. Haven't finished the game. Probably not close yet but I'm having a good time while doing it, and that's what matters.

God i wish i had done this a few times while working at wal*mart. Actually i wouldn't have a hit a customer. I would have hit the manager...with a forklift, but that's beside the point.

Olberman is the man.

Personally i've nothing against torture. I feel it doens't work as often as torture advocates seem to think, but I can't imagine that it never works. And 1 time may, not will, but may make up for the rest. Depending on what it prevents.

Is it moral? Is it ethical? God no. But it is practical and logical. Unless the people you're torturing doesn't fear death, then the biggest psycological threat of the process is removed. Although i suppose they could still fear the future pain.

Oh no. Fast food restraunts are going to kill us.

How come no one is blaming mcdonalds for this but a guy shoots himself in a theatre and it's the movies fault. Fuck that.

OH COME ON!

Let me think let me think. Oh yeah it was planned you god damn morons. Who brings a gun to a movie theatre unless you're planning on using it on someone? That's right no one. Well, except for NRA idiots.

Stop blaming movies for idiot deaths. Stop attempting to blame movies on idiot deaths. Stop implying movies guilt in idiot deaths. Stop it. Bad media. Bad.

That is all.

Right On

That'll show em. Stupid pricks. Hopefully they'll catch the aids and die a horrible lonely death. Not because they decided to pick up hookers, but because they decided to pick up hookers while with somebody else. That's just wrong.

Especially when you can go to vegas and not worry about legal ramifications. Peace.
