Sports again.

Here's another thing I get annoyed about when it comes to sports.

http://www.ejb.com/video/19754/At_the_buzzer.html

The game isn't over. Where the hell is the defense. Props to the shooter. That's a great shot, but he shouldn't have even had that opportunity. That would have been a super easy shot to block. They knew he had to shoot practicaly before he had the ball. All you had to do was put a hand up, and BOOM! (touch actin tanactin) you've got a block. The game is over. Your team wins.

Instead they lose and hopefully got verbally bitch slapped by their coach for being lazy turds.

My point. If you think you hit a home run, RUN!! do trot to first. Because it might just be off the top of the wall. Poof triple or double turned into a stupidly long single.

Sports and America.

I'm so fucking confused. When did it become bad to win and good to lose. http://www.thenewsvault.com/cgi/xtra.pl?go=12327158596 I hate organized sports and all this fucking talk of honor. The goal is to fucking win. That's it.

Now in a timed game like basketball it's a little more understanding to be upset by running up the score, but whenever I hear about it in baseball it really gets me angry. Why should a team have to tank their stats when another team decides they don't want to play anymore. Yes it might not be very pc to say or think about, but people in baseball get paid based on their stats at times.

Not to mention it'll help them with their contracts if they're in a contract year. And it can boost their numbers for the hall of fame.

That's not even including the fact that baseball doesn't have a time limit. So in the bottom of the 9th inning the home team can score 30 runs. If you stopped trying to score runs at 29 and that happens well you've just lost the game because of some bullshit sense of honor. There is no honor in competition until the competition is over. It's how you present yourself before and after a win or loss. Not how you get said win or loss.

As long as you're not cheating or going out of your way to hurt someone that is.
